Sony recently revealed some of the games that will be available on PlayStation Plus Premium.

I wanted to know whether the service could be worth it for someone like me, who has a pretty big game library across multiple platforms. Let's find out!

Summary

TL;DR: It's worth it as long as you don't mind not really owning the games.

Of the games currently revealed for the service:

• 2 are PS3 titles
• 7 are PS2 titles
• 4 are PS1 titles

The cost to own these games outright (Boxed from Amazon, or second hand in the case of older titles, and directly from PSN in the case of some digital titles) is £505.

I've estimated that I'd realistically need two years to get through this list, as I wouldn't be playing these titles exclusively. The cost of two years of PlayStation Plus Premium is £199.98.

So there you have it. If you don't mind not owning your games, it's a good deal as long as there are a handful of titles you're interested in. And this isn't even the full collection, which will contain around 700 games.
